Weekend Coverage: Rotating Weekends Required
Compensation: $31.00–$36.00 per hour | $1.00/hour Weekend Shift Differential

We are currently seeking Full-Time Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to join our team at the Medical Intensive Infirmary (MII) at Johnson State Prison in Wrightsville, Georgia.
The Medical Intensive Infirmary is a specialized unit that provides care for patients with complex medical conditions requiring ongoing assessment, skilled nursing care, and interdisciplinary collaboration. This position is ideal for nurses who enjoy caring for medically complex patients while working in a structured, supportive clinical environment.
Care for patients with complex medical needs in a specialty infirmary setting.
Utilize and expand your clinical skills, including tracheostomy care, enteral feeding (G-tubes), wound care, and chronic disease management.

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible for providing holistic nursing care within the appropriate scope of practice to incarcerated patients while working under the direction of Registered Nurses (RN) and medical and psychiatric staff, to respond to a range of physical and behavioral health needs.
Deliver safe, ethical, and evidence-based nursing care
Follow established safety, security, and infection control protocols
Monitor patient conditions and report change appropriately
Collaborate with medical, mental health, and custody teams
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
2 years of experience in behavioral health, correctional, or ER
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license | Compact (MSL) or Georgia (SL) | Must be active and valid
Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or BLS | Must be active
Ability to obtain security clearance via the GADOC, this may include drug screen and criminal background check
