Role Overview
BEPC Inc. is seeking a Quality Control Technician to support one of our manufacturing clients in San Angelo, TX. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented quality professional with experience performing inspections, testing, and documentation within a regulated manufacturing environment. The selected candidate will play a key role in ensuring finished products meet quality standards while supporting continuous improvement initiatives and maintaining compliance with quality system requirements.
This is a 3rd shift opportunity working a unique 4 days on / 4 days off schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform quality inspections, testing, and analysis on finished goods to verify compliance with established specifications.
- Conduct sample breakdowns, verification testing, Instron pull testing, and other required quality evaluations.
- Document inspection results, acceptance/rejection decisions, and product disposition using LIMS and other computerized systems.
- Prepare calculations, reports, and documentation related to quality testing activities.
- Recommend improvements to testing methods, equipment, and procedures to enhance quality and efficiency.
- Support qualification protocols and special product testing requests.
- Investigate recurring quality issues and collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to implement corrective actions.
- Troubleshoot equipment and business systems used within the Finished Goods department.
- Assist with recording and tracking nonconformance issues.
- Lead or participate in continuous improvement projects.
- Train and mentor junior Quality Control Technicians.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable quality, environmental, health, and safety regulations, including ISO and Quality Management System requirements.
- Communicate quality concerns and improvement opportunities to leadership.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
QualificationsRequired Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in Quality Control, Quality Assurance, manufacturing inspection, or a related field.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to accurately document inspection results and maintain quality records.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to calculate measurements and time increments accurately.
- Strong commitment to attendance, quality, and performance standards.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams including Operations, Engineering, Planning, and Quality.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
- Flexible to work changing priorities and assigned schedules.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using LIMS, ERP, or similar manufacturing software systems.
- Experience working within ISO 13485, ISO 14001, OSHA, or other regulated manufacturing environments.
- Experience conducting product testing and troubleshooting manufacturing equipment.
