Job Summary
We are seeking skilled and motivated Concrete Form Carpenters to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for constructing, installing, and dismantling formwork for concrete structures on various construction projects. Your expertise will ensure that concrete is poured accurately and safely, adhering to detailed blueprints and technical specifications. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from commercial buildings to restoration sites, utilizing your carpentry skills and construction knowledge to deliver high-quality results efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to construct precise formwork for concrete structures.
- Build and assemble formwork using hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment, ensuring stability and accuracy.
- Install rebar reinforcement within formwork according to safety standards and project specifications.
- Operate concrete mixers, pumps, and cutting tools to facilitate the pouring and finishing of concrete.
- Ensure all formwork is properly aligned, supported, and secured before concrete pouring begins.
- Follow construction plans and schematics to execute tasks efficiently while maintaining strict adherence to safety protocols.
- Demolish or disassemble formwork after concrete has set, ensuring a clean worksite and proper handling of materials.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in concrete forming, carpentry, or related construction fields with a strong understanding of blueprint reading and interpretation.
- Mechanical knowledge of construction tools, power equipment, rebar installation, and concrete pouring techniques.
- Familiarity with construction estimating processes and working on diverse construction projects including renovation, restoration, or commercial builds.
- Knowledge of construction workplace safety regulations and the ability to adhere strictly to safety protocols at all times.
- Ability to operate heavy machinery such as forklifts or cranes is a plus; valid licenses are preferred.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, concrete cutting equipment, and performing heavy lifting safely.
- Strong communication skills for interpreting technical drawings and collaborating effectively with team members on-site.
