Job Title: Company CDL Drive-away Driver
Reports To: Load Planner
SUMMARY
As a Drive-away Driver, you will be responsible for picking up and delivering a wide variety of vehicles to locations in CA and occasionally across the region. Pickup and deliver vehicles to designated locations throughout the day for up to 8-10+ hours per day in varying conditions. Utilize technology and mobile apps for communication, vehicle assignments, travel, paperwork, safety checks and other items while maintaining a safety-first mindset at all times. Communicate clearly with management, dispatch and customers regarding vehicle status and delivery schedules.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Mechanical ability is required
- CDL A or B License is required
- Maintain a clean environment
- Ability to travel to Canada - preferred
- Using electronic logs
- Drive manual and automatic CDL vehicles
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Can not have had a DUI
- No accident within the last two years
- EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE (minimum)
Current CDL License a must
Mechanical knowledge
2 Years OTR required
Passport a plus
Using manual and automatic transmissions
