Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our clinical healthcare team, specializing in the evaluation and treatment of children on the autism spectrum and children with ADHD. This role is primarily clinic-based, providing structured, evidence-based occupational therapy services to pediatric patients in inpatient and/or outpatient clinical settings. The ideal candidate will develop and implement individualized treatment plans focused on improving functional skills, sensory processing, self-regulation, attention, and independence in daily activities. Collaboration with medical providers, caregivers, and interdisciplinary teams is essential to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive clinical evaluations of pediatric patients with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, and related developmental conditions, assessing motor, sensory, cognitive, and functional abilities.
- Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans tailored to each child’s clinical needs and diagnosis.
- Provide direct occupational therapy interventions addressing sensory integration, self-regulation, attention, executive functioning, fine and gross motor skills, and ADLs within a clinical setting.
- Utilize standardized assessments and outcome measures to monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as clinically indicated.
- Assist pediatric patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), adaptive skill development, and functional participation.
- Collaborate with physicians, psychologists, speech-language pathologists, and other healthcare professionals to support coordinated patient care.
- Participate in care planning and discharge planning, ensuring continuity of care and appropriate referrals when needed.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation, including evaluations, daily notes, progress reports, and discharge summaries.
- Educate parents and caregivers on home programs, sensory strategies, behavior regulation techniques, and adaptive equipment to support carryover outside the clinic.
- Adhere to clinical protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements within inpatient or outpatient healthcare environments.
- Stay current with advances in clinical pediatric occupational therapy, particularly interventions related to autism and ADHD.
Qualifications
- Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
- Clinical experience treating children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and ADHD in outpatient or inpatient healthcare settings.
- Strong foundation in pediatric neurodevelopment, sensory processing, clinical assessment tools, and therapeutic intervention planning.
- Experience working within medical or clinical models of care, including goal-oriented treatment and outcomes tracking.
- Proficiency in clinical documentation and familiarity with insurance, authorization, and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to function effectively while maintaining high standards of patient care.
- Strong communication and clinical reasoning skills for collaboration with healthcare teams and caregiver education.

Pay: $36.00 - $51.00 per hour
