Key Qualifications:
- Active Occupational Therapist license (OTR) via the Texas Executive Council of Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy Examiners (ECPTOTE)
- Experience in a school setting preferred; strong understanding of pediatric therapy principles
- Excellent communication and organizational skills to manage a caseload efficiently
- Ability to adapt interventions for students with a broad range of abilities, from kindergarten through 12th grade
- Capacity to work independently and collaboratively within an educational team
Responsibilities:
- Assess students' skills and create individualized treatment plans in alignment with IEP goals
- Provide direct therapeutic services to a caseload of 45–60 students, adjusting for service minutes as needed
- Document progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in IEP meetings and team discussions
- Educate school staff and families regarding strategies to maximize student participation and independence
- Consult, coach, and collaborate with teachers and support staff to integrate therapeutic techniques into the classroom
