Google Ads Account Manager (PPC)
We are a growing digital marketing agency working with local service businesses across the U.S., including roofing, remodeling, restoration, locksmith, garage doors, cleaning, and other home service companies.
We are looking for an experienced Google Ads Account Manager who can develop, implement, manage, and optimize PPC campaigns on Google Ads, including Google Local Services Ads (LSA).
The right person must be able to manage multiple client accounts and campaigns at the same time, stay organized, review performance, understand tracking, identify problems quickly, and help improve lead quality and campaign results.
This is a key role in our company. We need someone who can manage the ads side of the business from A to Z — including campaign setup, keyword research, targeting, budget management, ad copy, landing page performance, conversion tracking, phone call tracking, form submissions, reporting, and client updates.
This person will own tracking across everything. You will be responsible for making sure tracking is set up correctly and working across every client account — and for always knowing exactly where each lead comes from: which platform, campaign, keyword, ad, and channel drove every phone call and form submission. If a lead comes in, you should be able to say precisely where it came from. Getting attribution right is not a side task in this role; it is one of the core reasons this position exists.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and manage PPC campaigns on Google Ads, including Google Local Services Ads (LSA)
- Manage Google Local Services Ads and complete/maintain Advanced Verification, especially for categories that require it such as locksmith and garage door
- Manage and optimize multiple client accounts and campaigns at the same time
- Conduct keyword research and competitor analysis to identify opportunities for better performance
- Own the full tracking and attribution setup across all accounts — conversion tracking, call tracking, and form tracking — using Google Ads, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, CallRail, GoHighLevel, and other tools
- Always know exactly where every lead comes from, tying each call and form submission back to the specific platform, campaign, keyword, and ad that generated it
- Monitor campaign performance and analyze data to optimize ad spend, improve conversion rates, reduce cost per lead, and improve lead quality
- Review phone calls, form submissions, landing pages, and conversion data to understand campaign performance
- Make sure conversion tracking, call tracking, and form tracking are set up and working correctly at all times
- Identify tracking issues quickly and communicate clearly what needs to be fixed
- Perform ongoing A/B testing of ad copy, landing pages, keywords, bidding strategies, and campaign structure
- Prepare clear performance updates and reports for clients and the internal team
- Communicate with clients and team members about performance, problems, and next steps
- Stay updated on the latest trends in Google Ads, PPC, tracking, and digital advertising best practices
Requirements
- Proven experience managing PPC campaigns, especially Google Ads
- Strong understanding of lead generation campaigns
- Experience managing multiple client accounts at the same time
- Strong knowledge of Google Ads, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and conversion tracking
- Experience with Google Local Services Ads (LSA) and Advanced Verification for categories such as locksmith and garage door — this is a must
- Solid hands-on experience setting up, auditing, and fixing tracking and lead attribution — you should be comfortable owning this end to end
- Experience with call tracking and form tracking platforms such as CallRail or GoHighLevel
- Ability to analyze campaign data and make smart optimization decisions
- Experience with keyword research, competitor analysis, landing pages, and conversion optimization
- Ability to manage multiple campaigns while staying detail-oriented and organized
- Excellent communication skills and ability to explain campaign performance clearly
- Reliable, responsible, proactive, and able to work independently
- Experience with home service / local service businesses is a big plus
