ValhallaCare is hiring Patient Care Coordinator Trainees for our Aurora dental office.
You do not need dental experience to apply. This role is designed for someone starting from the ground floor who wants to be trained, coached, and developed quickly.
You will learn the entire patient journey, not just one part of the office. From the beginning, your training will include both patient communication and hands-on dental workflows, including preparing rooms, sterilization, X-rays, supporting the doctor and team, and helping move patients smoothly through their visit.
The pay range shown on Indeed is the starting training range. It reflects that we are willing to invest in the right person even if they have zero dental background.
It is not the long-term ceiling.

This is a growth-required role
This is not a job where you sit at the front desk for years doing the same thing.
We expect the right person to grow. That means learning the patient journey, mastering communication, becoming comfortable with hands-on patient care, taking ownership of the visit, and adding higher-value skills over time.
A motivated, reliable team member can move through stages like this:
First 90 days:
Learn check-in, check-out, scheduling, forms, payments, phone skills, and basic patient communication.
At the same time, begin learning the hands-on side of the office: room preparation and turnover, sterilization, dental instruments and materials, X-rays, patient positioning, and how to support doctors and teammates during the patient visit.
3-6 months:
Become dependable at owning the patient visit from beginning to end. Learn handoffs, insurance conversations, treatment scheduling, follow-up systems, patient flow, room setups, and increasingly advanced doctor and team support.
6-12 months:
Build higher-value skills in treatment coordination, patient flow, procedure support, doctor/team handoffs, and hands-on dental workflows.
12-24 months:
High performers are expected to push toward advanced skills and higher responsibility. This can lead toward senior PCC roles, treatment coordination, expanded patient-care skills where legally permitted and properly trained, site leadership, and advanced patient-flow ownership.
The long-term path is built so strong team members can grow into the mid-$20s, high-$20s, and $30+/hr level as they master valuable skills and take on more responsibility.
That does not happen automatically. It happens by becoming useful, trusted, consistent, and skilled.

What you'll do at the start
- Welcome patients and help them feel comfortable
- Guide patients through their visit from beginning to end
- Help manage scheduling, forms, payments, and visit flow
- Prepare and turn over patient rooms
- Learn sterilization and infection-control workflows
- Learn to take dental X-rays with proper training
- Learn dental instruments, materials, and procedure setups
- Support doctors and teammates throughout the patient visit
- Communicate with patients, doctors, and support teams
- Keep the patient visit organized from start to finish
- Learn dental operations using systems, checklists, and modern tools
