Duties
- Safely install holiday lighting displays on residential and commercial properties using ladders, scaffolding, or lifts.
- Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and installation plans to ensure accurate setup of lighting arrangements.
- Diagnose electrical issues using tools such as ohmmeters and troubleshoot problems related to wiring, connections, or fixtures.
- Perform routine maintenance, repair, and operational checks on lighting equipment and supporting hardware.
- Remove holiday lights after the season, ensuring proper storage and documentation of all equipment used.
- Operate heavy equipment mechanics if necessary for installation tasks involving lifts or other machinery.
- Follow safety protocols diligently to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with electrical standards.
Skills
- Ability to Travel is preferred. We work throughout the US.
- Strong electrical diagnostics skills to identify and resolve wiring or fixture issues efficiently.
- Mechanical knowledge to handle installation hardware, supports, and mounting systems confidently.
- Experience with maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) of electrical or mechanical equipment related to holiday lighting setups.
- Ability to interpret schematics, technical drawings, and installation instructions accurately.
- Technical proficiency with tools such as ohmmeters, multimeters, and other diagnostic devices.
- Knowledge of heavy equipment mechanics for operating lifts or scaffolding safely during installations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a proactive approach to troubleshooting electrical or mechanical challenges.
