JOB SUMMARY:
The Convenience Store Lot Attendant is responsible for providing exceptional guest service while maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of the fuel island, parking lot, and exterior convenience store areas. The Lot Attendant assists guests with fueling operations, maintains fuel island supplies, supports fleet customer access, and ensures a clean and welcoming environment for all customers. The position serves as an important customer-facing role and contributes to a positive guest experience by providing courteous assistance and adhering to operational standards.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Ensure each guest receives outstanding customer service by providing a friendly, welcoming, and helpful environment. Respond courteously to customer questions regarding store products, services, promotions, and location directions

Assist guests with pumping fuel and operating fuel dispensers when appropriate, ensuring compliance with all fuel handling, environmental, and safety procedures.

Assist customers in setting up fuel pumps and provide general directions and assistance as needed.

Direct traffic flow in fueling areas and assist with clearing pumps for fleet customers.

Assist in maintaining the security and safety of the store exterior, parking lot, and fueling areas.

Maintain fuel island supplies, including filling windshield wash buckets, replacing towels, and maintaining squeegees.

Inspect fuel islands, pumps, and exterior customer service areas (parking lots, sidewalks, and surrounding grounds) to ensure operational readiness and cleanliness throughout assigned shifts. Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste in designated locations.

Assist with debris, spill, or weather-related cleanup activities when necessary to maintain a safe customer environment.

Support environmental, health, and safety standards at all times.

Monitor fuel island areas for safety hazards and promptly report maintenance, equipment, or safety concerns to management.

Assist store personnel with stocking, merchandising, and other operational tasks during slower periods as directed.

Observe and report suspicious activity, theft, property damage, or safety violations
-
Assist management during emergency situations and follow all emergency response procedures.

Comply with all company policies, procedures, safety requirements, and internal controls.

Maintain regular attendance and punctuality standards.

Work cooperatively with all departments to support overall store operations and guest satisfaction.

Maintain professional behavior and positive representation of Coyote Valley while on and off duty.

May participate in Tribal events and community activities as assigned.

Maintain strict confidentiality during and after employment.

Perform other related and compatible duties as assigned.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or GED. Some technical training or higher education preferred.
- Some related retail experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to risks associated with travel between buildings and back and forth to other areas as may be required due to business demands. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, including second-hand environmental smoke. The employee may be exposed to the risks associated in attempting to resolve issues with extremely irate or difficult guests or staff members. The noise level in the work environment varies from light to moderate.
