Job Description
General Purpose of Retail Sales Associate:
Promote and support our high-quality Buffalove brand image through professional selling in a fast-paced environment, building loyalty, and long-lasting relationships with our customers. This is achieved by promoting the “Buffalove” spirit, selling our premium products, and providing conscientious customer service. Responsible for ensuring customers have a positive and productive experience while in the store by helping when needed and keeping the store looking clean, orderly, and well-stocked. A bright, energetic personality who is results driven with a passion for selling.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Welcoming and engaging with customers as they enter the store
- Assessing customers’ needs and suggesting solutions to their problems
- Building rapport through conversation and honest recommendations
- Using upselling techniques to increase store sales
- Working with POS cash registers and processing payments
- Achieve and exceed daily productivity and sales goals
- Maintain the integrity of the sales floor presentation, store signage, and housekeeping standards
- Maintain proficiency with product knowledge, technical, and operating standards through continuous learning
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following organization standards and legal regulations
- Willingness to perform additional duties as required
Qualifications
Required Competencies:
- Availability for varied weekly shifts, including weekend, closing, and peak hour shifts
- A willingness to learn and adapt; is flexible to change and open to trying new ways of doing things
- Effective communication skills, being open to feedback, and the ability to act on it
- High level of energy to promote a positive work environment
- Computer utilization of Point-of-Sale system
- Basic math skills
Additional Desirable Qualification and Competencies:
- Thorough knowledge of Buffalove’s mission, values, and organization structure
- 1-2 years of relevant experience in retail or food service
- Comprehensive understanding of the store products
- Advanced customer service skills
- Patience when dealing with demanding customers
- Problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills
- Naturally curious, has a passion for new ideas, and looks to drive growth
Physical Demands:
- Lifting 50 pounds, bending/squatting, overhead lifting, twisting, climbing a ladder, standing for long periods.
- Housekeeping duties include but are not limited to vacuuming, mopping & waxing floors, washing windows, using disinfectant chemicals, discarding all trash, maintaining recycling, installing, and maintaining furniture, fixtures, and displays.

Schedule:
Buffalove Apparel is open for business from Monday-Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Saturday 9:00 AM-4:00 PM, and Sunday 10:00 AM-2:00 PM. This excludes holidays recognized by Buffalove Apparel and any extended holiday hours to accommodate Buffalove Apparel customers. Business needs may necessitate a variation in starting and ending times and the total hours scheduled to work each day and week. The schedule is dependent on store volume and is subject to change. WEEKEND AND DAYTIME AVAILABILITY IS REQUIRED.
