Possible Available Shifts
- 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM - Daily
- 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM - Daily
- 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM - Daily
- 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM M-F
- 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM Weekends
- 4:30 PM – 9:30 PM - M-F
Shift availability varies by individual served and staffing needs.
Responsibilities
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, meal preparation, and mobility support.
- Support medication administration in accordance with prescribed protocols and agency policies, if assigned.
- Encourage participation in community outings, recreational activities, hobbies, and other meaningful experiences that promote social, emotional, and physical well-being.
- Safely assist with transfers and positioning, including the use of adaptive equipment such as Hoyer lifts, when required.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe home environment.
- Complete required documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
- Communicate effectively with individuals served, family members, healthcare professionals, and agency staff.
- Promote independence while respecting each individual's choices, preferences, and personal goals.
Qualifications
- Previous experience providing care or support to individuals with developmental disabilities or other disabilities in a home or community setting is preferred.
- Ability to safely perform physical tasks, including lifting, transferring, bending, and standing for extended periods while following proper body mechanics.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification, or the ability to obtain certification upon hire.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, or cognitive impairments is preferred.
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and an acceptable driving record if transportation is required.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to pass a Level II background screening and meet all applicable employment requirements.
