We are currently in search of an enthusiastic, qualified professional Field Adjusting Supervisor to ensure a quality work product through the supervision of Vanguard’s field adjusting staff.
Vanguard’s Field Adjuster Supervisor is to manage, support, and lead a team of Field Adjusters, ensuring efficient and high-quality claims resolution. This role also includes responsibility for maintaining SOC 2 compliance by safeguarding sensitive claimant, policyholder, and company information, ensuring confidentiality, integrity, and proper handling of data throughout all claims and supervisory activities.
Job Requirements:
- Supervise Field Adjusters including performance reviews, attendance, time off, licenses, etc.
- Oversee the technical aspects of claims adjusted by their staff.
- Adhere to management policies within Vanguard.
- Review large losses with VP of IA Services.
- Train Adjusters in the handling and processing of claims as needed.
- Carry a minimal caseload of claims as required by the VP of IA Services.
- Monitor workflow, diary, and reminder requirements.
- Process invoice queries from clients.
- Supervise, develop, and direct all personnel working directly under them, including:
- Reviewing Adjusters’ files to ensure claims procedures have been met.
- Providing immediate feedback to Field Adjusters on report findings.
- Answering Adjusters’ questions.
- Working with auditors for action plans on files.
- Recovery (Property Issues and Subrogation).
- Ensuring timeliness and proper completion of demand reviews.
- Quick turnaround of responses to queries made by claimants, clients, or attorneys.
- Timeliness in reporting to clients.
- Adequate reserves being maintained.
- Consistent claim closures.
- Meeting or exceeding company benchmarks.
- Take pride in their work and their team’s work to produce a quality product.
- Maintain good relations with all clients.
- Convey positive attitude and teamwork for optimum provision of client services.
- Review and approve staff time billing daily.
- Attend client meetings and perform marketing calls as required.
- Continue educational studies, maintain necessary licensing, and complete continuing education.
- SOC 2 Compliance: Ensure all sensitive information is handled in accordance with SOC 2 security, confidentiality, and data integrity requirements. Promptly report any potential compliance, security, or data handling issues, and ensure the team follows proper protocols for secure claims processing and documentation.
- Additional duties as assigned by the IA Manager.
- Performs additional responsibilities as needed to support business operations and compliance objectives.
- Locations/Travel Required:
- Marketing may require overnight trips to visit clients.
- Seminars, meetings, and assignments may require travel to locations outside the office.
- Cover hearings and/or mediations when an adjuster is unable to attend.
