About the Role
The Inventory Control Clerk plays a crucial role in the manufacturing process by tracking and maintaining inventory levels and ensuring materials are available to production when needed.
We are looking for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, dependable, and enjoys working as part of a team. Depending on experience, skills, and qualifications, this position may be filled as an Inventory Control Clerk I or II.
Inventory Control Clerk I – Responsibilities
- Perform all duties of a Material Handler I.
- Navigate and move material throughout the plant in a safe and efficient manner.
- Work collaboratively as a team player across all departments.
- Properly check in material using the established receiving process flow chart.
- Place received material in the designated storage location.
- Accurately perform and report inventory counts.
- Practice and maintain 5S standards.
- Understand and support Talos quality and shipping commitments.
- Maintain an organized and safe work environment.
- Follow established processes and procedures for inventory control and material handling.
Inventory Control Clerk II – Responsibilities
In addition to meeting all qualifications and responsibilities of an Inventory Control Clerk I, the Inventory Control Clerk II will:
- Work independently on assigned projects.
- Understand the workflow of the plant and warehouse.
- Identify, organize, and manage production parts, assembly components, and finished goods.
- Make inventory adjustments accurately and appropriately after proper training.
- Train and assist entry-level Inventory Control Clerks.
- Communicate with management regarding inventory replenishments and discrepancies.
- Work effectively in more than one kitting area.
- Maintain a positive attitude and demonstrate a strong drive to support the success of the Inventory Department.
- Understand the overall manufacturing process at Talos.
- Organize production, assembly, and finished-good parts to maximize efficiency.
- Help identify opportunities to improve inventory organization, accuracy, and workflow.
