Responsibilities
Technician – CMO/Support primarily provides one-to-one support for youth and adult persons served with behavioral health needs in accessing services in the Community Medication Outreach and youth psychosocial programs by maximizing opportunities for them to become more self-sufficient over time and to maintain or gain independence in the community to meet their personal life goals for a healthy life. Reporting to the Team Manager of IHSS/CMO, this position ensures high-quality, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive service delivery consistent with the mission and standards of Astra Mental Health and Recovery, a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC).
The Technician promotes service excellence, professional growth, and accountability of daily operations and services in collaboration with Program and Team Managers. This role also supports Astra’s commitment to Access, Comprehensive Care, Excellent Outcomes, and Sustainability. This position requires flexibility when youth psychosocial youth group program schedule changes in the summer months.
Job Requirements
- Minimum of one (1) years providing services in behavioral health or human service field.
- Prefer prior experience transporting children preferred (school bus, daycare, camp, etc.).
- Must be proficient in basic computer skills, keyboarding and word processing skills.
- Must have good command of the English language; must be able to read, communicate clearly and therapeutically with persons served and staff, both verbally and in writing, in a professional manner.
- Successful completion of criminal background check and DCF Child & Adult Abuse Registry check, and other applicable background investigations.
- Possess a valid Kansas driver’s license, reliable transportation, proof of auto insurance, and good driving record.
Salary Range
$18.75/hour
(Will consider additional experience for higher starting pay)
Plus mileage and shift differential when applicable
2nd shift – $2.00
3rd shift – $2.25
Weekends – $2.50
Hours
Full Time, Mon – Fri, 7am – 3:30pm, 8am – 5pm, 2:30pm – 11pm
