As the client undertakes a large-scale migration of their enterprise data warehouse, advanced analytics platforms, and Spark-based environments, they require a highly experienced consultant to help define the end-to-end requirements, architecture, and design for these critical platforms.
We are seeking a well-rounded technical professional who combines deep hands-on expertise with exceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills. The successful candidate will work closely with the Principal Engineering working group to drive architectural decisions, align technical strategies, and ensure successful delivery outcomes.
Lead the design and architecture of modern data platform solutions centered on Google BigQuery and dbt.
Define functional and non-functional requirements for large-scale data warehouse and analytics modernization initiatives.
Provide technical leadership throughout the migration of legacy data warehousing and Spark environments.
Collaborate with engineering leaders, architects, and business stakeholders to develop scalable, secure, and cost-effective solutions.
Deliver clear technical presentations, design reviews, and architectural recommendations to senior stakeholders.
Deep expertise in Google BigQuery, including:
Data storage architecture and management
Query performance tuning and optimization
BI Engine configuration and optimization
Security, governance, and administration
Cost and capacity management
Strong experience with dbt for data transformation, modeling, testing, and deployment.
Proven track record designing and implementing enterprise-scale analytics and data warehousing solutions.
Experience supporting complex cloud migration and modernization programs.
Strong stakeholder engagement, communication, and workshop facilitation skills.
The ideal consultant is equally comfortable discussing low-level technical implementation details with engineers and presenting strategic recommendations to senior leadership. They bring a pragmatic, architecture-first mindset and have successfully guided clients through complex data platform transformations.
The pay range that the employer in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is $49.83/hour - $77.86/hour. Our benefits include medical, dental, vision and retirement benefits. Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis.
