What You'll Do
This is a hybrid role combining clinical technician responsibilities with front office coordination.
You'll spend your day helping patients while also ensuring they experience exceptional care from the moment they contact our office until they leave.
Responsibilities include:
Clinical
- Pretesting patients
- Obtaining medical histories
- Performing diagnostic testing
- Assisting doctors during examinations
- Educating patients about treatment recommendations
- Preparing exam rooms and equipment
- Maintaining accurate documentation in the electronic medical record
Patient Care Coordination
- Scheduling appointments efficiently
- Answering incoming calls
- Confirming appointments
- Managing patient communication
- Assisting with patient flow throughout the day
- Helping create an exceptional patient experience from start to finish
Every member of our team works together to ensure patients feel welcomed, heard, and cared for.
Qualifications
Required:
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience as an optometric technician
- Previous experience working as a Patient Care Coordinator, receptionist, or front desk team member in an optometric practice
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong multitasking abilities
- Comfortable learning new technology
- Positive, team-oriented attitude
Preferred:
- Experience with specialty eye care
- Knowledge of insurance verification
- Experience with electronic medical records
- CPO, CPOA, or CPOC certification (not required)
