Duties
- Operate various grinding machines such as CNC grinders, surface grinders, and tool grinders to shape metal parts with precision.
- Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, GD&T specifications, and technical manuals to ensure accurate machining.
- Program CNC grinding equipment using CAD/CAM software to produce complex parts efficiently.
- Use precision measuring instruments like micrometers, calipers, and gauges to verify dimensions and ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Troubleshoot industrial equipment issues promptly to minimize downtime and maintain production flow.
- Handle materials safely using forklifts and other warehouse tools while adhering to safety standards in production areas.
- Perform routine maintenance on machinery, including setup, calibration, and tooling adjustments for optimal performance.
- Collaborate with team members on fabrication, assembly line processes, and quality control inspections to meet production goals.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating CNC grinding machines, CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, or similar industrial equipment in a manufacturing setting.
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, GD&T principles, and mechanical blueprint interpretation.
- Familiarity with Fanuc controls, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and CNC programming techniques.
- Ability to use precision measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges for quality assurance.
- Mechanical knowledge of tooling setup, fabrication processes, welding, stamping presses, and press brake machines.
- Experience with CAD software like SolidWorks or similar for part design review and modifications.
- Knowledge of safety standards in production environments and factory experience handling materials safely.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations necessary in machining operations.
- Ability to troubleshoot industrial equipment issues efficiently and perform basic maintenance tasks.
- Warehouse experience or familiarity with materials handling and packaging processes is a plus.
