Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Executive Director to lead our organization with passion, strategic insight, and a commitment to excellence. This pivotal role involves overseeing all aspects of program development, staff supervision, and organizational management to ensure the delivery of high-quality services. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and underserved communities, demonstrating strong leadership in social services administration. As the face of the organization, you will foster relationships with stakeholders, manage budgets effectively, and champion compliance and best practices across all programs.
Duties
- Serves as supervisor to other residential staff
- Monitors residents in a residential/home environment - observes, documents, and reports resident’s behavior/progress on an ongoing basis
- Trains and assists residents in basic daily living skills
- Assists with the development of an individual’s service/treatment plan for each assigned individual.
- Monitors service plan of exceptional rate individuals for compliance with staffing requirements.
- Communicates with Health Service Professional and Direct Care Staff to ensure proper support services for individuals.
- Counsels and advises residents on behavior problems, daily decision –making, and the resolution of minor problems.
- Responsible for personnel matters including hiring, assigning duties, in service training, supervision, evaluation of staff and terminations
- Communicates regularly with staff on progress toward defined goals and/or required results, providing specific feedback and initiating corrective action when defined goals and/or required results are not met.
- Responsible for professional leadership and technical consultation to the Board, determination of policy, and for periodic evaluations of the Agency's performance in terms of the conditions of licensure.
- Lead team management efforts by fostering a positive work environment that promotes collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
Qualifications
- LPC/LCSW preferred but not required
- Residential group home experience preferred
- Experience working with DFCS, OPM, and RCCL audits preferred
- A master’s degree from an accredited college or university in the area of behavioral or social sciences, social work, or childhood education, business or public administration or related field AND two (2) years of paid work experience in the field of social services or human service delivery and at least one of which has been in an administrative or supervisory capacity OR A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in the same areas of study and four (4) years of paid work experience in a human services delivery capacity or a related field and at least two of which have been in an administrative or supervisory capacity.
- Knowledge of state, local and federal guidelines in order to modify existing programs and the development of new programs in response to changes in the guidelines.
- Knowledge of organizational and management practices as applied to the analysis and evaluation of programs, policies and operational needs.
- Knowledge of advanced principles and practices of budget preparation and administration.
- Strong relationship management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite for documentation, reporting, and communication purposes.
Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
