Overview
We are hiring a Local CDL Class A driver for day runs in the Florida/Georgia market.
All runs are 'day runs' in 4-5 days weekly and driver will not be overnighting. Approximately 32- 40 hours weekly plus overtime over 40 hours. We pay weekly and via a W-4 statement, not 1099.
Most freight is 'no touch' with about 40% of freight requiring unloading with a pallet jack at customer locations. Most jacks are powered, but some are manual. This will require a driver with good health, strength and good work ethic.

Must have a minimum of 3 years minimum CDL experience and a clean MVR.

Duties
- Safely operate tractor-trailers. We operate late model Cascadia Day Cabs with 53 foot dry van trailers.
- Load and unload freight using equipment like forklifts or manual methods, ensuring proper handling and securing of cargo
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to guarantee vehicle safety and compliance with regulations
- Plan efficient routes to meet delivery schedules while adhering to traffic laws and safety protocols
- Deliver freight accurately to designated locations, ensuring timely arrivals and customer satisfaction
- Maintain detailed logs of driving hours, deliveries, and vehicle maintenance records in compliance with DOT regulations
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate pickups, deliveries, and address any issues promptly
Skills
- 3 year Valid CDL A license with clean driving record and experience operating tractor-trailers in local route driving environments
- Proficiency in driving manual transmission trucks and handling various truck types including flatbeds, refrigerated trailers, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks
- Experience with freight load & unload procedures using forklifts or manual methods
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations related to commercial driving and cargo securement
- Ability to perform routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks
- Excellent route planning skills to optimize delivery efficiency within local areas
- Good communication skills for interacting with dispatchers, customers, and team members
Pay: From $22.00 per hour
