Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician with food manufacturing and packaging equipment maintenance experience. This position is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on production and packaging equipment to ensure efficient and safe operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and repair food processing and packaging equipment
- Perform preventative maintenance on production machinery
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
- Troubleshoot motors, VFDs, sensors, and electrical components
- Read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
- Complete work orders and PM documentation using a CMMS
- Perform equipment installations, modifications, and basic fabrication
- Support production changeovers and minimize equipment downtime
- Follow all food safety, GMP, and safety procedures
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a food manufacturing or food packaging environment
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Intermediate electrical troubleshooting experience
- Experience with food processing and packaging equipment
- Experience with pneumatics, hydraulics, AC/DC motors, sensors, and VFDs
- Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical blueprints
- Welding and fabrication experience preferred
- Experience using a CMMS for work orders and preventative maintenance
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Technical training in industrial maintenance is preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Experience maintaining bagging, filling, conveying, or packaging equipment
- GMP and food safety knowledge
- Forklift experience
- OEM training
