Responsibilities
- Perform thorough dental cleanings and assessments for patients, ensuring optimal oral hygiene.
- Utilize Open Dental software for maintaining accurate medical records and patient information.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits.
- Assist in the development of individualized treatment plans based on patient assessments.
- Implement infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for both patients and staff.
- Collaborate with dentists to provide four-handed dentistry during procedures.
- Maintain an organized and sterile clinical environment, adhering to aseptic techniques.
- Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices and participate in continuing education opportunities.
Experience
- Experience is preferred but not required. We value a positive attitude, compassion and willingness to learn above all else.
- Knowledge of anatomy related to oral health is essential for effective patient assessment.
- Familiarity with infection control standards and practices within a dental environment.
- Proficiency with medical records management, particularly using Software such as Open dental software.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and team members.
Pay: $45.00 - $55.00 per hour
