FiftyNorth Is Hiring! Communication Intern Wanted ASAP!
FiftyNorth is a beloved community treasure, and we want to communicate our thriving-through-aging impact via compelling and heartfelt messages across all platforms. The Communications Intern role is an approximately 5-month appointment—July or Aug-Dec 2026--and pays $20 per hour, with a maximum of 20 hours per week. You will support the Fifty Faces of FiftyNorth campaign, gathering interviews, writing stories, taking photos and posting across our platforms. The goal is to raise awareness of the FiftyNorth mission, and to support our annual fundraising campaign. You will get to know the FiftyNorth community, meet in-person with members and communicate stories of impact with authenticity, humor and professionalism. We are looking for an energetic, outgoing and curious individual with a big interest in people and communications. You should have writing and social media skills, be able to take decent phone photos, and create sharply designed posts and online stories.
Responsibilities:
- Story collection— schedule and conduct member interviews in person
- Writing—create compelling short pieces that communicate mission.
- Social Posting—create and manage compelling posts to elevate mission.
- Photos & Video—capture and edit member portraits, snapshots and video—use of your own smartphone required.
- Meeting—attend campaign and planning meetings with Communications and Fundraising Managers

Must be able to work on-site at FiftyNorth.
This role reports to the FiftyNorth Communications Manager.
