Duties
- Assist customers in identifying and selecting the correct automotive parts and accessories using product knowledge and inventory management systems.
- Provide expert advice on vehicle maintenance, automotive diagnostics, and repair procedures to help customers make informed decisions.
- Manage inventory control by stocking parts, conducting stock checks, and ensuring accurate record-keeping through CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) or POS (Point of Sale) systems.
- Process sales transactions efficiently while handling cash, credit card payments, and cash handling procedures with accuracy.
- Build strong customer relationships through excellent communication skills, personalized service, and follow-up to ensure satisfaction.
- Collaborate with the service department or dealership team to facilitate order fulfillment and ensure timely delivery of parts.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment by stocking shelves properly, managing inventory levels, and performing routine maintenance on tools and equipment.
Experience
- Proven experience in automotive parts sales or retail sales within an automotive dealership or repair shop environment.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills combined with automotive diagnostics knowledge.
- Familiarity with automotive repair processes, vehicle systems, and accessories.
- Experience using inventory management software such as CMMS or POS systems; proficiency in Microsoft Office is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills in multiple languages or bilingual abilities are highly desirable for serving diverse customer bases.
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate effectively, manage retail math calculations accurately, and handle cashiering responsibilities confidently.
- Prior dealership experience or familiarity with automotive parts management enhances your success in this role.
