Duties
- Provide professional hair styling services including cuts, blowouts, updos, and special occasion styles that meet each client’s unique vision.
- Perform hair coloring techniques such as balayage, highlights, lowlights, and creative color applications using advanced color theory principles.
- Apply hair extensions and eyelash extensions to enhance clients’ natural beauty with precision and care.
- Utilize salon software like MINDBODY to schedule appointments, manage client records, and streamline daily operations.
- Maintain impeccable sanitation standards by cleaning tools, sanitizing workstations, and adhering to health regulations to ensure client safety.
- Assist with retail sales by recommending products such as hair care, styling tools, makeup, nail care items, and retail math to maximize sales opportunities.
- Support store management by handling front desk duties, mentoring new team members, and contributing to a positive team environment through effective communication skills.
Experience
- Proven experience working in the beauty industry as a licensed cosmetologist or barber with a strong portfolio of diverse styling techniques.
- Skilled in hair coloring techniques with knowledge of color theory to achieve vibrant or subtle results.
- Familiarity with salon software like MINDBODY for appointment booking and client management is preferred.
- Hands-on experience with hair extensions, hair threading, makeup application, and nail care is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of sanitation practices specific to cosmetology and barbering standards to ensure a safe environment for clients.
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide personalized recommendations.
- Experience in retail sales and upselling techniques to enhance client satisfaction while supporting store revenue goals.
