Recording Specialist (Title Insurance) - Carle Place, NY
LandStar Title Agency, a well-established, growing, and highly respected title insurance agency, is seeking an experienced Recording Specialist to support our post-closing operations and ensure the timely and accurate recording of documents. Due to continued growth and increased volume, we are expanding our team.
Key Responsibilities
- Submit documents for recording via e-recording platforms and County offices
- Review recorded documents for accuracy and completeness
- Track and follow up on recordings to ensure a timely return
- Resolve rejected recordings and discrepancies
- Maintain organized file records and recording logs
- Communicate with County Clerks, vendors, and internal teams
- Ensure compliance with NYS recording requirements and transfer tax filings
Qualifications
- Prior title recording experience required
- Knowledge of New York County recording requirements
- Experienced in ACRIS and e-recording systems (Simplifile, CSC, etc.)
- Attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage volume in a deadline-driven environment
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $65,000 – $85,000 (commensurate with experience)
