What You’ll Do:
- Provide 1:1 or small-group support under the direction of teachers and school staff
- Help students with daily classroom routines and transitions
- Implement behavioral support plans and follow IEPs as indicated
- Assist with mobility, supervision, and, when needed, personal care tasks
- Encourage active participation in a safe, respectful, inclusive environment
- Support students academically and socially, adapting to a variety of needs
Mandatory Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- At least 18 years old
- Ability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting as needed
- Current TB test per district guidelines
- Willingness to obtain all school-required clearances before starting
Preferred Experience:
- Previous experience in schools, special education, behavioral health, or childcare
- Background supporting students with special needs, behavioral challenges, or autism
- CPI, PMT, or RBT credentials are a plus but not required
- Reliable, patient, and collaborative approach to working with children
