About Goochland Education Foundation
The Goochland Education Foundation is an independent nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting students in Goochland County Public Schools (GCPS). Founded in 2008, we were established to bridge the gap between what traditional funding provides and what innovative education requires. While we maintain our independence as a separate organization, we work closely with GCPS to identify and address educational needs. This structure is intentional—it allows us to be nimble and responsive, directing resources where they’re needed most while focusing solely on our mission: helping every child in GCPS succeed academically. Today, our programs on preparing students for future success, with particular emphasis on strengthening literacy and math skills—provide the foundational competencies that open doors to opportunity. Through targeted programs and strategic initiatives, we champion STEM education, 21st Century skills, and educational equity, providing essential support that helps bridge gaps and ensure all GCPS students have access to the tools and resources they need to thrive. Every dollar we raise and every program we implement is driven by one simple commitment: helping the children of our community reach their full potential.
