Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and energetic Experienced Operator to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a variety of heavy equipment and machinery to ensure efficient and safe completion of construction projects. Your expertise in mechanical systems, construction site procedures, and equipment handling will be vital in maintaining productivity and safety standards on-site. Duties
- Operate heavy equipment including excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, water trucks, dump trucks, tankers, and paving machines with precision and safety.
- Conduct pre-operation inspections on all machinery to ensure optimal functioning and identify maintenance needs.
- Assist in site preparation, grading, excavation, material hauling, and paving activities to meet project specifications.
- Follow all safety protocols and construction standards to maintain a secure work environment for all team members.
- Coordinate with team members and supervisors to plan daily operations and adapt to changing project requirements.
- Maintain accurate logs of equipment usage, maintenance records, and operational reports.
- Support horizontal drilling operations and other specialized tasks as needed on the construction site.
Requirements
- Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment such as excavators (including Caterpillar models), dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, water trucks, dump trucks, tankers, and paving machinery.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to perform basic troubleshooting and routine maintenance on machinery.
- Valid commercial driver’s license with clean driving record; experience in commercial driving is essential.
- Prior construction site experience demonstrating familiarity with safety procedures and construction workflows.
- Ability to operate specialized equipment including horizontal drilling rigs and water trucks effectively.
- Knowledge of construction materials, processes, and safety regulations relevant to heavy equipment operation.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
