The R&D Technician supports company objectives by building, testing, documenting, and evaluating prototypes, product samples, and pre-production builds used to validate Design, Commercialization, and Industrialization requirements. This role supports cross-functional teams by providing accurate test data, building observations, product evaluation feedback, and production-readiness input to Product Management, Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, and Operations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Perform product testing following established procedures.
· Accurately document product assessment and testing.
· Maintain a clean and organized work area to facilitate product testing.
· Assess prototype assembly for potential production assembly challenges.
· Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by adhering to safety procedures and regulations
· Follow detailed instructions, processes, and procedures
· Comply with policies, guidelines, intellectual property, and regulatory requirements
· Report problems with quality, processes, equipment, and materials to Management
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES
-College or technical experience preferred
-Knowledge of the archery industry preferred
-Proficient in MS Office
-Strong communication skills, able to partner with multiple departments
- Keeps a positive attitude and good work ethic for other employees to emulate
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The R&D Technician may be subject to standing for long hours with repeated bending, lifting (20-50 pounds), and squatting. The R&D Technician must be adept at fine motor skill manipulation with both hands. In addition, the R&D Technician must write, speak, and understand English. Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
