Job Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide exceptional support and assistance to individuals in need of care. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our clients, including seniors and individuals with disabilities. As a Caregiver, you will play a crucial role in delivering personalized care that promotes independence and dignity.
Duties
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the well-being of clients.
- Monitor and document patient health status, including vital signs and any changes in condition.
- Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment by performing light housekeeping tasks.
- Administer medications as prescribed and assist with care plans tailored to individual needs.
- Support clients with mobility, including the use of assistive devices like Hoyer lifts when necessary.
- Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote cognitive function, especially for those with Alzheimer’s or dementia care needs.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for each client.
Experience
Candidates should possess experience or skills in the following areas:
- First aid and CPR certification is preferred.
- Previous experience in assisted living, home health, or long-term care settings is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with patient observation techniques and monitoring vital signs.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism is a plus.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations related to patient confidentiality and care documentation.
