We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Inspector to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will ensure that all products meet in process quality standards and requirements through inspection and testing processes. Your expertise will help maintain the integrity of our manufacturing operations, uphold compliance with industry standards such as ISO 13485, ISO 9001, GMP, and FDA regulations, and support continuous improvement initiatives. Duties
- Conduct thorough quality inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMMs)
- Utilize vision inspection systems and other advanced measurement tools to verify dimensional accuracy and surface quality in accordance with engineering drawings and specifications
- Perform quality audits to assess compliance with ISO standards, GMP, HACCP, and other regulatory/legal standards in production
- Interpret mechanical blueprints and manufacturing documentation to ensure products meet design specifications
- Collect and analyze data related to quality metrics, documenting findings accurately for review and reporting purposes
- Support calibration of measuring instruments to maintain measurement accuracy and reliability
- Participate in root cause analysis for quality issues and collaborate with production teams to implement corrective actions
Experience
- Proven experience in quality control or quality assurance within a manufacturing environment, preferably in regulated industries such as medical devices or pharmaceuticals
- Strong knowledge of ISO 13485, ISO 9001, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), HACCP principles, and FDA regulations
- Hands-on experience with precision measurement tools including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, vision inspection systems, and coordinate measuring machines (CMMs)
- Familiarity with interpreting mechanical blueprints and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) standards
- Ability to perform quality audits and ensure compliance with regulatory standards
- Mechanical knowledge combined with basic math skills for accurate measurements and data analysis
- Excellent attention to detail with strong analysis skills for identifying deviations from quality standards
- Effective communication skills for documenting findings and collaborating across teams
