Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated A Level Automotive Technician to help run a small scale automotive diagnostic and mechanical repair shop . Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using advanced automotive diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately across various systems including electrical, mechanical, and electronic components.
- Repair and maintain vehicles with a focus on powertrain systems, diesel engines, ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), and vehicle alignment.
- Interpret schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex problems efficiently.
- Conduct repairs on automotive electrical systems, including wiring, sensors, and modules, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools skillfully for tasks such as welding, component replacement, and body repairs when necessary.
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance services like oil changes, brake inspections, tire rotations, and fluid replacements to ensure optimal vehicle performance.
- Assist in training team members on the latest automotive repair techniques and technologies to foster continuous improvement.
- Maintain detailed service records for each vehicle serviced and communicate effectively with customers regarding repairs needed or completed.
Experience
- Proven dealership experience or extensive background working as an automotive technician at a similar level. ASE Master Tech is preferred but will consider other technical knowledge or relative experience.
- Strong knowledge of automotive electrical systems, schematics reading, and diagnostics tools.
- Hands-on experience repairing diesel engines and performing complex powertrain repairs.
- Familiarity with ADAS calibration procedures and vehicle alignment techniques.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and automotive repair machinery.
- Experience working with domestic and import vehicles.
- Excellent mechanical knowledge combined with strong customer service skills to enhance client satisfaction.
- Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics accurately while adhering to safety protocols.
