American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist for a diagnostic radiology position at a Level I Trauma and Level I Pediatric Trauma teaching hospital, requiring at least 1 year of experience and ARRT-R certification.

Full-time diagnostic radiology position at a large acute care teaching hospital with Level I Trauma and Level I Pediatric Trauma designations, as well as Chest Pain and Stroke Center designations

Patient population includes adults and pediatrics from the ED, ICUs, nursing units, and outpatient settings across the full spectrum of radiology exams and diagnoses

Department averages 350–400 patients per day

EMR is Epic; experience preferred

Equipment includes Shimadzu RadSpeed general rad room, Intelli-C multipurpose unit, Konica and Shimadzu portables, and GE and Siemens R/F rooms
-
Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, 40 hours per week

No floating required

On-call is required and rotated fairly among full-time, part-time, PRN, and travel staff based on team size

No weekend/weekday rotation — travelers remain on the contracted shift and schedule

Holiday coverage is expected unless time off is approved in advance

Minimum of 1 year of experience in diagnostic radiology

Current ARRT-R certification required

Current BLS required

Active state license required if applicable

Ability to work confidently in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment

Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented attitude

At least 1 professional reference from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN dated within the past year required for consideration

Last 4 digits of SSN and full date of birth required for consideration

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Perform a full spectrum of diagnostic radiology exams across adult and pediatric populations

Department is supported by a lead tech, modality supervisor, and Imaging Manager, with a diverse team ranging from new grads to long-tenured staff
-
Orientation includes a facility and departmental tour with introductions, followed by approximately 5 days of departmental orientation (flexible based on traveler needs)
