Duties
- Monitor pool activities continuously to enforce safety rules and prevent accidents
- Respond swiftly and effectively to water emergencies using water rescue techniques and emergency response protocols
- Conduct routine pool maintenance including cleaning, chemical checks, and equipment inspections to ensure optimal water quality and safety standards
- Deliver water safety instruction and swimming lessons tailored to different skill levels, emphasizing proper techniques and safety procedures
- Provide exceptional guest services by assisting swimmers, answering questions, and ensuring a positive experience for all visitors
- Perform first aid and CPR when necessary, following established protocols to stabilize medical emergencies until professional help arrives
- Maintain accurate records of incidents, safety checks, and lesson progress while adhering to public safety procedures
Requirements
- Proven lifeguard experience with current certifications in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), AED (Automated External Defibrillator) operation, First Aid, and Basic Life Support
- Strong swimming skills with the ability to perform water rescues confidently and efficiently
- Experience working with children or in an aquatic instruction setting is highly preferred
- Knowledge of pool maintenance tasks such as cleaning, chemical testing, and equipment upkeep
- Ability to respond calmly and effectively during medical emergencies like cardiac arrest or other injuries
- Physical stamina for heavy lifting, prolonged standing, walking, and performing water rescue responses
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude that promotes guest satisfaction and safety awareness
