Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as SpotOn POS ensuring clear communication with kitchen staff
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest experience and increase sales
- Serve food and drinks efficiently, maintaining proper food handling and sanitation standards
- Assist with bussing tables, cleaning, and resetting dining areas to ensure a clean and inviting environment
- Manage cash handling and cashiering duties accurately at the end of each shift
- Use reservation systems like Yelp to manage guest seating and waitlists effectively
- Maintain knowledge of menu offerings, including dietary options and ingredient details, to answer guest questions confidently
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant experience or food industry background is highly preferred, especially in fine dining or nightclub settings
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and hospitality
- Familiarity with POS systems such as SpotOnPOS, and Yelp Guest Manager is a plus
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to upsell menu items through effective sales techniques
- Basic math skills for cashiering, cash handling, and bill splitting
- Experience in serving or host/hostess roles is advantageous but not required; we value enthusiasm and a positive attitude above all else
