Union Sorters of America is seeking a dependable and motivated Team Leader to join our growing team. This is a union position offering long-term stability, competitive pay, and strong benefits.
This role is ideal for someone who is reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable leading a small team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
What You’ll Do:
- Oversee and support a team of 5–10 employees, depending on workload
- Train employees on basic visual inspections and measurement inspections
- Ensure quality standards are met by auditing jobs and inspections
- Review work to confirm procedures are followed correctly
- Send and respond to basic emails
- Communicate job details and quality issues with customers
- Work hands-on inspecting parts on the plant floor and work areas
- Identify, define, and report all material or quality issues
- Perform other duties as assigned
All necessary training materials are provided.
Work Environment:
- Fast-paced manufacturing and plant floor settings
- May involve exposure to heat, humidity, noise
- Standing for extended periods and lifting materials may be required
- Afternoon Shift
Minimum Requirements:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to detect and recognize nonidentical parts
- Ability to follow directions carefully and work independently
- Comfortable working with minimal supervision and as part of a team
