Driver Requirements
- Valid CDL Class A License
- Minimum 1 year OTR driving experience
- Clean MVR
- No SAP drivers
Duties
- Safely operate tractor-trailers, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, and tankers across OTR routes while complying with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations
- Plan and follow efficient routes using GPS navigation systems to optimize delivery times and fuel consumption
- Deliver freight accurately to various destinations, including automobile transportation and logistics cargo handling sites
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections on trucks, trailers, and cargo to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with safety standards
- Maintain detailed logs of driving hours, delivery records, and vehicle maintenance in accordance with FMCSA regulations
Experience
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving, especially in over-the-road (OTR) routes involving long-haul deliveries
- Knowledge of cargo handling techniques
- Familiarity with route planning using GPS navigation tools for efficient delivery scheduling
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record
