Pioneer Valley Urology, P.C. is seeking a full time Physician Assistant to work independently and collaboratively with other medical professionals to deliver comprehensive urologic care. Must possess the ability to assess clinical problems, determine priorities of care, design and implement a treatment plan and seek and utilize consultation appropriately. Responsibilities include:
- Orders tests and procedures as indicated by the diagnosis or differential in cost effective manner
- Follows up with results of patient labs, CT Scans, X-rays, Angiograms, etc.
- Utilizes sound judgment in the establishment of priorities in patient care management along with clinical staff
- Consults appropriately with supervising physician regarding proposed treatment
- Discharge Planning/Patient Education in conjunction with supervising physician
- Refers patient for after-care/follow-up with appropriate provider
- Identifies patients educational needs and intervenes appropriately to meet those needs
- Telephone Call Only.
Requirements: PA candidates must have graduated from an accredited PA program and possess a minimum of a bachelor’s degree. NCCPA certification and Massachusetts licensure are required.
