Currently, we have an immediate need for an experienced Heavy Equipment/Truck/Trailer Mechanic.
You will play a crucial role in performing maintenance and repairs on our trucks, trailers, and equipment to ensure we remain safe and productive. Accuracy, and attention to detail and safety are critical in this role.
The successful candidate will have a diverse skill set and be able to manage multiple projects at a time.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience
- A valid driver's license with clean driving history
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Organizational and communication skills
- Proficiency in the use of common mechanic shop tools
- Ability to perform intermediate welding/fabrication
- Ability to use current technology along with our maintenance program MaintainX
- Must possess a strong understanding/application of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and electronic systems
Requirements/responsibilities:
- Diagnoses, troubleshoots, and repairs fleet equipment/trucks/trailers etc.
- Perform PM’s on equipment and trucks
- Ensures fleet equipment is compliant and repaired according to DOT regulations
- Maintains a clean and safe work environment to ensure safety and compliance.
- Must be able to exert up to seventy-five pounds of force occasionally and/or fifty pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Physical demands are more than those for sedentary work; work involves sitting, standing and walking, operating machinery, stooping, kneeling, crouching, pushing, pulling and lifting/carrying weights of up to seventy-five pounds
- Possess the ability to think “outside of the box” for solutions
- Complies with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity.
- Performed additional duties as assigned.
- Perform work independently.
- Must be able to work well with all levels of personnel.
- Successfully pass drug screening.
