Smart Education Corp. is an established educational organization providing high-quality art and academic enrichment in Northern Virginia and Maryland. We are now seeking experienced Reading/Writing Teachers to join our Vienna, VA team for part-time, in-person instruction.
Responsibilities
· Teach reading and writing to students (grades 3–12) in small group settings.
· Lead discussion-based lessons and writing workshops
. Follow a shared curriculum framework to maintain instructional consistency
. Provide thoughtful, constructive feedback to support student growth
· Collaborate with program leadership
. Commit to regular weekly schedule, including weekend availability.
Required Skills & Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree or higher in English, Writing, Education, or related field.
· Prior teaching or tutoring experience (FCPS or accredited schools strongly preferred).
· Strong communication and classroom management skills
· Willingness to align with curriculum and participate in feedback cycles
. Reliable, professional and punctual
· Must pass background checks required by Fairfax County and Virginia law.
· Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
Independent Contractor Requirements
· This is a 1099 contractor position; instructors are responsible for their own taxes, benefits, and insurance.
· Reliable transportation to and from our Vienna, VA location is required.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour
