About the Family
A loving single dad in Lexington is looking for a caring, reliable, and proactive evening nanny and family assistant to help bring structure, warmth, and consistency to his home.
He lost his wife two years ago and, with the help of his amazing mother (the children’s grandmother), has been navigating life as a devoted dad to three wonderful girls. Grandma has been an incredible support over the past two years, but she’s ready to step back a bit and focus on enjoying her role as “Grandma.”
The family’s daughters are bright, sweet, and benefit greatly from gentle guidance, structure, and nurturing consistency. The middle child needs a little extra support with focus and behavior, and the family would love to find someone with ABA experience or a strong understanding of routines and positive reinforcement systems.
About the Role
The nanny will typically start at Dad’s home around 4:30 PM, spending about an hour helping catch up on laundry and light household organization before heading to Grandma’s house (just down the street) for dinner and to pick up the girls’ to start the evening routine.
Daily Responsibilities Include:
- Light tidying and laundry to help keep the home running smoothly
- Providing an extra set of hands to support a busy single dad
- Helping with dinner, homework, bath time, and bedtime routines
- Reinforcing the family’s current reward and behavior systems
- Supporting life skills like:
- Picking up clothes and putting them in the hamper
- Choosing outfits for the next day
- Brushing and caring for hair
- Learning basic independence (showering, tidying up, etc.)
- Providing calm, consistent, loving direction
The Ideal Candidate
The family is seeking someone who is:
- Loving, patient, and motherly — someone who naturally notices the little things that make a house feel cared for
- Firm but fun, able to maintain boundaries while keeping things positive and encouraging
- Organized and proactive, with an eye for details and a heart for helping
- Comfortable with children who may need extra emotional support or routine reinforcement
- Collaborative and respectful, working in partnership with Dad and Grandma
- Ideally has experience or familiarity with ABA principles or structured behavior support
- Looking for a long-term position with a family that values reliability, warmth, and teamwork
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
