- Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Room (ER/ED)
- Location: Kansas City, KS
- Shift: 12-hour night shifts | 3x12
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (with possible extension)
Compensation:
- Local Pay Rate: $56/hour
- Weekly Gross (Traveler): $2,266/week (includes $1,505/week in tax-free stipends)
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Assess, triage, and prioritize patients based on acuity levels
- Provide direct nursing care to patients in the emergency department
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Monitor patient conditions and respond to changes promptly
- Assist with emergency procedures and life-saving interventions
- Collaborate with physicians, paramedics, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Document patient care accurately and in a timely manner using EMR systems
- Perform wound care, IV therapy, and other emergency nursing procedures
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and infection control protocols
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and discharge instructions
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of recent ER nursing experience
- Active and valid State RN License
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- COVID-19 vaccination/booster preferred
