Experienced Pet GroomerAbout the Role
Barkers and Bows is looking for an experienced, compassionate Pet Groomer to join our team. We're passionate about providing a calm, positive grooming experience while delivering high-quality grooms that keep pets looking and feeling their best.
Whether working in our fully equipped mobile grooming vans or in our boutique setting (depending on the position), you'll have the opportunity to build lasting relationships with clients and their pets while working alongside a supportive team that values quality over rushing through appointments.

Responsibilities
- Perform professional dog grooming services, including bathing, drying, brushing, clipping, hand scissoring, de-shedding treatments, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and finishing work.
- Groom pets according to breed standards or client requests while always prioritizing the pet's comfort and safety.
- Safely handle dogs of various breeds, sizes, ages, and temperaments using gentle, low-stress handling techniques.
- Communicate with pet parents before and after appointments to discuss grooming requests, recommendations, and any health or behavioral concerns observed during the groom.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized grooming workspace and properly care for grooming equipment.
- Monitor each pet throughout the grooming process and immediately report any health concerns or injuries.
- Work efficiently while maintaining high grooming standards and attention to detail.
- Contribute to a positive, team-oriented work environment and provide exceptional customer service.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of professional dog grooming experience.
- Ability to complete full grooms independently from start to finish.
- Strong scissoring, clipping, and breed-specific styling skills.
- Experience handling dogs of all sizes and temperaments safely and confidently.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently while also being a supportive team member.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
- A passion for animal welfare and providing outstanding care to every pet.
Preferred Qualifications
- Mobile grooming experience is a plus.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
- Experience working with scheduling software or grooming management systems is preferred.

Pay: $1,200.00 - $1,800.00 per week
