We are a small local business seeking an outgoing and friendly Shop Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be the face of our store, providing exceptional customer service while assisting with daily operations. You will engage with customers, promote products, and ensure that the shop is well-stocked and organized. Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs.
- Conduct product demonstrations as needed to showcase features and benefits.
- Upsell products by effectively communicating their value to customers.
- Maintain an organized and visually appealing store environment by stocking shelves and arranging displays.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
- Answer customer inquiries over the phone with professionalism and clarity.
- Utilize basic math skills for transactions and inventory management.
Requirements
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with customers and team members.
- Bilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing communication with a diverse clientele.
- Previous experience in retail or sales is preferred but not required.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and inventory tasks.
- Eagerness to learn about our products to effectively assist customers.
- A proactive attitude towards upselling products to meet sales goals.
- Experience in supervising or leading a team is advantageous but not mandatory.
