Zeller Tire 2 in Torrington is looking to hire an experienced service writer for our busy store. Three years experience as either an auto tech or a service writer.
We are looking for a service writer with a proven track record, good work ethic, great communication and customer service skills.
Ascertaining automotive problems and services by listening to customer and working with our mechanics.
Verifying warranty and service contract coverage by examining records and papers; explaining provisions and exclusions.
Creating quotes by costing parts and labor; calculating customer's payment.
Preparing work orders describing symptoms, problems, and causes discovered, as well as repairs and services required; obtaining approval signatures.
Working directly with our very experienced mechanics and shop personnel
Requirements:
- Previous experience as an automotive Service Advisor and a working knowledge of automobiles.
- Customer service skills.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to customers.
- Customer acknowledgment at counter
- Inspect vehicles with technicians when other personnel are not available
- Sourcing and ordering parts with diligent price checking
- Returning parts and recording as needed
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $62,000.00 per year
