Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) to join our compassionate healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to patient care, excellent communication skills, and a passion for supporting vulnerable populations. As an LNA, you will play a vital role in delivering direct patient care, ensuring comfort, safety, and dignity for our residents.
Duties
- Provide direct personal care to residents, including assistance with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
- Monitor and record vital signs and health status using electronic health record (EHR) systems and medical documentation protocols.
- Assist with medication administration under the supervision of nursing staff, ensuring proper procedures are followed in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Support residents with specialized needs such as Alzheimer's care, dementia care, memory care, and behavioral health requirements.
- Operate medical equipment including Hoyer lifts and other assistive devices to promote safe mobility and transfers.
- Maintain a clean, safe environment by following aseptic techniques and infection control procedures.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in acute care settings such as ICU, emergency medicine, or post-acute care environments to ensure comprehensive patient service.
- Document patient information accurately in EMR/EHR systems while adhering to medical records standards.
Skills
- Valid licensure as a Nursing Assistant (LNA) with current certification.
- Experience working in long-term care facilities such as nursing homes or assisted living communities.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, vital signs monitoring, catheter care, and basic life support procedures.
- Knowledge of specialized areas including Alzheimer’s/dementia/memory care, hospice, behavioral health, and sub-acute or post-acute settings.
- Proficiency with electronic health records systems such as Epic, Cerner, eClinicalWorks, or similar platforms.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations including individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities requiring assisted living support.
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and confidentiality standards related to medical documentation and patient data.
