Position Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) plays a key role in supporting clients receiving treatment for substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders. This position works closely with the Medical Director, Nurse Practitioner, Clinical Director, and treatment team to coordinate medical services, provide client education, facilitate nursing groups, and ensure continuity of care.
Responsibilities
- Conduct nursing assessments and ongoing client evaluations
- Meet individually with clients regarding medical and medication-related concerns
- Coordinate medication refills and pharmacy communications
- Schedule and coordinate Nurse Practitioner appointments and follow-up care
- Facilitate nursing, wellness, and psychoeducational groups
- Monitor client health status and communicate concerns to medical providers
- Review laboratory results and assist with care coordination
- Document all services accurately and timely in the electronic medical record
- Participate in treatment team meetings and interdisciplinary care planning
- Ensure compliance with organizational, state, and accreditation standards
Qualifications
- Active Ohio Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
- Minimum of one year nursing experience preferred
- Experience in behavioral health, substance use treatment, psychiatry, outpatient care, or related field preferred
- Strong communication, organizational, and assessment skills
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary treatment team
- Experience with electronic medical records preferred
