Overview
We are urgently seeking energetic and dependable Weekend Caregivers to join our team. The ideal candidates will possess a strong commitment to delivering high-quality personal care and support to clients during weekends. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those requiring assistance with daily activities, health monitoring, and companionship.
Duties
- Provide personal care assistance including help with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support.
- Monitor patients’ health status by observing vital signs, medication adherence, and overall well-being, reporting any concerns promptly.
- Assist with meal preparation, ensuring nutritional needs are met while accommodating dietary restrictions.
- Support clients with mobility using proper patient transfer methods and manual handling techniques, including the use of equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment through light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and organizing living spaces.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to enhance clients’ mental well-being during weekend hours.
- Follow care plans meticulously while adhering to HIPAA regulations to protect client confidentiality.
Requirements
- One year of experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home Agencies.
- Valid Driver's License
- Valid Car Insurance
- Reliable Transportation to take clients to appointments
- Clear Criminal History
- Knowledge of patient observation techniques, medication administration, and vital signs monitoring.
- Familiarity with dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, memory care, hospice care, and neurodevelopmental disorders.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling safely; CPR and first aid certification preferred.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental delays; experience with autism is a plus.
- Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and documentation of care activities.
