Campus Barista Role:
- This position is for a barista role with Lucky Lab located on the UT Campus. We are open Mon-Friday 730am-5pm (shifts are between 7am and 6pm).
- Part time baristas are required to work a minimum of 15 hours.
- Full time baristas are required to work a minimum of 30 hours.
- Barista’s hired to work on campus are required to cover shifts at multiple locations. Currently we have four stores located in: the Gates-Dell Computer Science building, the Jackson Geo-Science building, the Dealey Center for New Media, and the Jesse Jones Communications building
- Parking is the responsibility of the barista and is not paid for or provided by Lucky Lab.
Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
- Covers shifts at all campus locations
-Provide guests with an engaging and positive experience, helping them learn about our mission and product so they leave wanting more!
-Team members are expected to learn the Lucky Lab product so they may determine guests' needs.
-Use a POS system to take guests orders, handle cash and communicate with team members.
-Follow all recipes for Lucky Lab products and produce drinks to the Lucky Lab standard.
-Packaging food and beverages for sale.
-Operate and maintain Barista equipment according to Lucky Lab standard.
-Maintain clean and organized storage and work spaces, adhering to company and government regulation.
-Maintain clean and well stocked merchandise displays.
- Cleaning dishes, daily cleaning items and general sanitation of tools, equipment and the cafe
- Creating community with customers by providing an excellent customer experience and remembering regular’s names and orders.

-You're a customer service extraordinaire who genuinely loves to engage with people
-You have an outgoing and positive demeanor and enjoy working as part of a team;
-You have excellent time management and task delegation skills and work well under pressure
-You have a genuine interest in coffee and coffee shops, locally run businesses, people and dogs;
-You've got a food handlers certificate (or the willingness to get one);
-You’re a creative problem solver who sees what needs to be done and does it;
-You want to join a team with opportunities for growth;
-You LOVE dogs :)
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $21.00 per hour
